Morris and James
Morris and James Pottery is famous world over and a must see when visiting the Matakana area. Established by Anthony Morris and Sue James the ceramics are bold in form and use vibrant colour, yet are both visually pleasing and practical to use.
The type of pottery crafted at Morris and James reflects the fine skill and imagination of it's creators who create fine ceramic oobjects, pots, tiles and more, using essentially traditional techniques.
The Glass Bottom Boat
Launching from the world famous Goat Island Marine Reserve, The Glass Bottom Boat has been operating for over 14 years and is a purpose built boat that allows it's passenger's to enjoy and view the fantastic sea life in the marine reserve, in the comfort of a boat without getting wet. Passengers look down through the glass floor to view the fish swimming by.
SheepWorld
Regardless of your age, there's something for you at SheepWorld. You'll experience how New Zealanders farm sheep and harvest wool. With twice daily dog shows and a multi-media exhibition you'll get a real insight into this important aspect of New Zealand life.
